I read another short story by this author which I really enjoyed, so I was happy to discover he had come out with a new story. This one is set in the future in a place where people have a chip installed which reads their emotions, and if there is a rising anger, a team is deployed to stop the situation before it becomes an issue. People choose to have the chip, and by doing so, they get to live in a safe area.It's a well written, interesting take on a futuristic society, and the story pulled me right in. I started reading it late one night when I couldn't sleep, and 45 minutes later my eyes were closing, but I didn't want to stop reading! For me, that marks a good story when I don't want to stop reading. The premise for this story is so interesting, that I hope the author will write another one set in this universe, or perhaps a part two for this one. Recommended.

Sia Garrett doesn't question that her job with with the Bureau of Safety and Monitoring is performing a valuable service to New Damai. Implants in a citizen's neck can detect growing signs of rage allowing that individual to be stopped before that person can cause disruption. She does wider about the reason for the rage, however.
An interesting short story which feels more like the basis for a novel than one complete in itself.
What a great read! Absolutely loved it!
In a dystopian future, emotions are tracked by the government. When rage becomes apparent, a military task force is sent to diffuse the situation before violence can occur. It is the price society pays for safety. Or, is it?
Great Book! It's the second one I've read from this Author and both were really exciting. Quick pacing, and easy scene building so the reader gets pulled into the story immediately. Characters pull you in with dialogue and at some point, I forgot I was reading and felt like I was in the story. The only problem with this one is that you will wish it was longer. AWESOME READ!
